Earhart, Amelia. THE FUN OF IT, 1st ed.
The Fun of It is Amelia Earhart’s second book after her travelogue 20 Hrs., 40 Min.. Earhart recollects how she became interested in flying, how it lead to her establishing several firsts for women, and also becoming aviation editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine. She profiles the careers of other pioneering female flyers of her time. The title comes from her quote “Flying may not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price.”
Earhart’s next book, Last Flight, would be published posthumously.
A wonderful memoir of some of the female pioneers of aviation, with the story of Earhart’s solo transatlantic flight.
Very good; dust jacket; scarce with record included.
