Offering a carte de visite of the hearse used to transport Lincoln’s body during the Springfield, IL funeral; Lincoln’s last homecoming. 

Lincoln’s funeral train reverse traced the trip Lincoln took for his first inauguration. “The Lincoln Special” passed through over 400 towns, making twelve stops in metropolitan areas along the way. It has been estimated that over 1 million people paid their last respects on the various stops; plus millions more watched the train pass, in solemn remembrance of Lincoln.
