Abraham Lincoln, Mourning Print

Mourning Lincoln

This Abraham Lincoln mourning Print was published immediately after the assassination.

One of the more attractive of the mourning prints, this one features a cleaned-up version of the $5.00 bill pose, one of the most popular images of Lincoln.  A dove of peace holding an olive branch sits in a nest above Lincoln’s head, while wreaths handsomely surround  him.
