Gerald McMurtry was the director of the Department of Lincolniana at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. This short biography was the first publication of the Civil War Round Table, the Chicago-based fellowship that inspired the worldwide Civil War Round Table movement.
This small, handsome book was limited to 225 copies, signed by the author, and given out to members of the group at the October, 1943 meeting.
