Margaret Mitchell signs and inscribes a copy of Gone With the Wind.

Inscribed on the front flyleaf, “To Carl – from Peggy / Christmas – 1935.”

Mitchell and Wahlstrom were undoubtedly friends for him to receive a personal inscription signed “Peggy”.

Includes a bookplate of Carl E. Wahlstrom (who was Judge in Worcester, MA and a major collector of Lincolnian; donated to Endicott College, it was deaccessioned and this shop purchased most of it back in the 1980s).

Very good and still solid; no D.J.; ex-library markings, including on the spine; lt. rubbing).

Mitchell, Margaret.  GONE WITH THE WIND.  NY:  Macmillan, November 1936 being the 7th edition.
