Henry B. Rankin’s The Lincoln Life Mask is a collection of incisive essays on the Lincoln Life Mask as part of his republication of Leonard W. Volk’s Century Magazine article.

In addition to the reprint of Volk’s article on the creation of the Life Mask and the molds of Lincoln’s hands, Rankin includes commentary and corrections. He also issues an appeal to the citizens of Springfield and Illinois to better commemorate the locations of Lincoln’s important speeches and life events. In particular Rankin wants for the city of Springfield to commemorate with and interpretive tablet and a bronze statue the Farewell Address at the Springfield train station.

Bound in stiff wrap pamphlet binder. Very good.
