Description

Offering a Theodore Roosevelt metal doorstop. TR is dressed as a Rough Rider, astride a rearing Little Texas.
Roosevelt was the only mounted Rough Rider at the battle of San Juan Hill–the rest of the horses got left in Florida as there was no way to ship them to Cuba. Eventually, even Roosevelt didn’t get to ride and had to lead the charge up San Juan Hill on foot. Little Texas became tangled in some wire.

Theodore Roosevelt Cast Iron Doorstop, circa 1900; 10 1/2″ x 9″.
