These pamphlets are the result of William T. Byrne’s Congressional delegation to Europe following WWII to study the problem of displaced persons and consider possible solutions. U.S. Congressman William T. Byrne was a New York State politician who served as a NYS Senator and a Member of the House of Representatives from New York. He was also a close friend of Franklin Roosevelt.
