Offering a carte de visite of Mary Lincoln.
After Lincoln was assassinated, Mary wore mourning attire for the remainder of her life. Here she is pictured in her usual black mourning dress, however the with white cuffs and embellished bonnet suggest she is in a later stage of mourning.
Excellent tonality and fine condition; tape remnants and adhesive residue on verso.
