Description

Offering an entire box of Edwin M. Stanton cigars; a full complement of 25 small panatelas.

Following the style of the Golden Age of American cigar manufacturing, Joseph Weinreith used a prominent political figure of the era to brand his tobacco products.  Civil War heros were popular, too, with Grant leading the way of course. Today cigars from this era are prized by collectors of tobacciana and historical ephemera.

All labels intact: 3 outer labels; inner embossed label with an image of Stanton surrounded by books and articles of war; a small hinged, embossed inner label; protective, embossed “trademark” sheet; tissue guard.

Excellent; colors still bright; top slightly warped (as usual); cigars dried (humidable? – not recommended by today’s cigar aficionados).
