Description
President Kennedy signs an appointment to a Presidential Committee.
Appointment of Lewis H. Weinstein as a “Member of the President’s Committee on Equal Opportunity in Housing,” advising on federal housing policy under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson.
Weinstein (1905–1996) was a prominent Boston attorney, civic leader, and national advocate for Jewish organizations. A Harvard Law School graduate, he served as chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.
