1941 Lakeside Classic, Milo Milton Quaife, ed., Army Life in Dakota

A Frenchman in Dakota

Army Life in Dakota is from the journal of a French noble turned Union Civil War hero who stayed with the Regular Army and served on the plains. These journals by Philippe Regis Denis de Keredern de Trobriand were translated by George Francis Will. Donnelley’s project of creating fine holiday gifts for clients resulted in a series of beautiful and collectible classics of American history.

Book in near fine condition with original glassine protective wrap; original holiday greeting card signed (in type) by Thomas E. Donnelley included. A very nice copy.
