This full Abraham Lincoln signature was clipped from an Affix the Seal of the United States Document. It comes with a 20th Century, 8 x 10 photograph of O-77, commonly referred to as The Gettysburg Lincoln. This photo was produced from an interpositive, created from the original glass plate negative. The artist specializes in using period methods, chemical and fixative formulas from the era, as well as paper produced using the processes of the 19th century. On this day, Lincoln, along with John Hay and Secretary William Seward, met at Gen. McClellan’s headquarters. Later, Lincoln met the Comte de Paris in the telegraph office and a Cabinet meeting in the evening ended a full day in the life of a war-time president.
