Description
President Harry Truman signs a photograph of himself to Sanford L. Fox. Truman is wearing the same suit and tie that is used for his image on the 8 cent stamp, released in 1973.

Sanford L Fox served in the Social Office during the Truman Presidency. He would continue to serve in the office during the Johnson and Kennedy eras, too. He was responsible for one of the four departments under Jacqueline Kennedy’s Social Secretary organization; first Letitia Baldridge and later Nancy Tuckerman, and had responsibility for the Calligraphy-Protocol-Social Records Department.
Very Good, Inscription and Signature are strong and bold, photo trimmed to fit frame, minor emulsion disturbance near edge.
