Description

This comprehensive, contemporary record of the military commission trial of the assassination conspirators includes verbatim testimonies, arguments of counsel on both sides, and closing speeches for the key conspirators.

Published immediately following the trial, it provided the public with a detailed account of the conspiracy and the subsequent punishment of the conspirators.  It is one of the three primary transcriptions of the trial, along with Pitman and Poore, but is considerably scarcer – by far!

It is rare in this condition: full wrappers; complete spine titling; clean throughout; and hardly any foxing. There is one corner tear, some soiling, and evidence of former binding along the spine along with rusted staples; page 69/70 torn with no loss of text; slight water tiding.
