Connecticut Mourns Lincoln

Description
Representative Henry Deming’s Eulogy of Abraham Lincoln was Connecticut’s official mourning of the assassinated president.
Of particular interest is that Deming claims to have heard Lincoln say that he did not give up on the idea of compromise with the South until May, 1861.
An artifact of the national grief that followed Lincoln’s murder, by one of Connecticut’s greatest orators. Lightly stained wrappers; front wrapper separating at top four inches; chipped at head; vertical fold visible; else very good. Handsomely enclosed and protected in marbleized, four flap archival folder.
