This engraving, the first of his presidency is signed by Ulysses S. Grant.
Upon ascending to the presidency, the Government’s Bureau of Engraving & Printing has issued a finely wrought engraving of the new occupant. Here is the first official image of Grant as President, certainly signed for a friend or collector.
