A large, clear, and clean clipped autograph signature of our 18th President. Accompanied by an albumen carte-de-visite photograph of Grant in Civil War uniform as Major General, a rank he was commissioned after his successful capture of Vicksburg in July 1863.
The signature is carefully written on clipped blue-lined paper. The photograph is clear and sharp, with deep tonality; it bears a backmark of the Anthony photographic gallery.
Handsomely, and correctly, framed under OP-3 plexiglass. The rear board is opened to view the photographer’s backmark.
