 Issued privately as a promotion for Kahler’s business, Kahler’s book discusses the diseases of the feet and proper footwear, with tips on fit, etc.

A German immigrant, Kahler’s claim to fame is that he made a pair of shoes on request to fit Lincoln’s size 14 foot. an illustration of which is included. Kahler became famous as a result of his relationship with Lincoln.  

Back flyleaf is detached; otherwise in Excellent condition; fresh and clean. A most unusual, fun, and uncommon little book.
