James Garfield Signature on a GAR Memorial Pamphlet

Description

President James A Garfield signs a Grand Army of the Republic memorial pamphlet.

Undoubtedly,  Garfield attended these GAR ceremonies, though it is unclear which “collection” he speaks of.

The original, orange wrappers, with mourning rule on the front, are each detached, though intact with lt. ch. only; a central fold is evident but does not detract; lt. soil. Overall very good.
