Description
George Yostel based this statuette on Paul Manship’s The Hoosier Youth. A very young Abraham Lincoln seems to be taking a break from splitting rails. Lincoln holds an axe and a book in his right hand, and pats his canine companion with his left hand. It was created for and awarded to only a few of the salespeople at the Lincoln National Insurance Company.
A less-seen version of Lincoln; a handsome addition to your bookshelf. Plus there’s a dog!
Cast in matte bronze, it is 9.75″ tall. Signed Geo. Yostel, with copyright symbol and marked “SC.”
Very Good +, needs a little cleaning.
(Lincoln, Abraham). Yostel George. Seated Lincoln Statuette.
