Description

This combined political biography of both Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson was published by the chairman of the National Union Executive Committee, in 1864.

It was also owned by two of the “Big Five” early 20th-century collectors who amassed vast amounts of Abraham Lincoln memorabilia, letters, and books. William H. Lambert was a Philadelphia lawyer and the best-informed of the group, his collection was famously sold and partially acquired by Henry Huntington in 1914. Judd Stewart was active collector whose holdings were also acquired by The Huntington around 1914, solidifying, along with the Lambert collection, a status as a premier Lincoln archive.

Overall foxing and edge browning, with minor wear, else very good ++.
