An Abraham Lincoln illustrated campaign envelope, the upper left corner features Lincoln as the Republican presidential candidate. The image taken by C. S. German in Springfield, September 26, 1858 (O-9). Below is a facsimile of Lincoln’s signature. The addressed envelope was posted by a supporter from Gardiner, (Maine?) less than 6 weeks before the election.
5-1/4” x 3-1.8” Very good; light soil; ink spot.
