Abraham Lincoln and his law partner, William Herndon sign a bond.
In a breach of contract case, this document is a bond for costs in the case of S. C. Davis & Co. v. Sanders. These bonds were quite common in federal cases, yet it is quite uncommon to find one signed by both Lincoln and law partner “Billy” Herndon.
Excellent with strong ink signatures.
