Description
We have never seen this Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Home-themed door knocker. Door Stops? Yes.
This door knocker appears to be brass. It features the classic Lincoln Boyhood Home image of Lincoln as a boy, reading by the fireplace. The logs of the rough hewn home are clearly rendered, as well as the bricks of the hearth. The sink has a beautifully rendered mug and a candlestick; with a small dish shelf mounted on the wall near by. The top bears the words “A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand.” The bottom reads “Boyhood Home of Abraham Lincoln.”
With two well-placed screw holes, very good++ condition; some tarnish on verso.
A rustic and charming addition to your Lincoln collection.
(Abraham Lincoln) Lincoln Boyhood Home Brass Door Knocker. 3 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ (sight).
