Description

CSA General James Longstreet signs,  as President of the New Orleans & Northeastern Railroad Company, certifying that George Ingram “is entitled to Five Shares” of stock for the R.R. Interestingly, Ingram happened to also be Secretary of the R.R. and signs it himself.

In a red ink across the face of the document is written “Cancelled.” Unaccomplished printing on verso.  Two engravings grace the document, including an outstanding one of a long train, smoke billowing out from the engine.

Excellent.

Longstreet, James. Printed Document, signed “James Longstreet”. New Orleans: 18 November 1870. Oblong, sm. f.; 1p.
