Volume 1, Brandywine and the Fall of Philadelphia, details the efforts of Sir William Howe to outmaneuver and outfight George Washington, resulting the bloody battle of Brandywine, and the loss of the rebel capital.
Volume 2, Germantown and the Roads to Valley Forge, tells of the audacious counterattack that failed to drive out Howe but gave the Continentals valuable confidence. An excellent military study, and uncommon as a set in very good condition.
