Lincoln’s Life, In His Own Words

Description

Lincoln wrote three autobiographies between between 1858 and 1860. This is a reprint of the 1860 version created for John L. Scripps of The Chicago Press and Tribune. It is the longest one, and also written in third person.

Easton Press created this reprint under their Treasures of the Library on Congress series. Other important documents from American History have received a similar treatment, including the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address.

This reprint of the autobiography consists of 14 pages, housed in a silk moire folio, encased in an oversized blue leather box.

Excellent condition, with only a minor scrape on the verso. A handsome presentation. A wonderful gift for any Lincoln lover.
