Offering Bridgman & Fanning’s important print, Abraham Lincoln Sixteenth President of the United States.

This was produced for the 1861 Lincoln Inauguration. Like all other printmakers, they did not know he had grown a beard, as they had to produce these prints in advance — especially since they were hand-colored, unable to change the image. hence, few were sold, so it remains quite uncommon today.
