Abott A. Abott, The Assassination and Death of Abraham Lincoln….

$1,200.00

This desirable first edition was one of the earliest pamphlets published after the murder. So early, that was published before Booth was killed.

It contains contemporary dispatches and observations surrounding the event, from one  who had already written a “Life” of Lincoln.  “…In executing vengeance upon the author of this great crime, let us therefore not commit…a crime equally as great….”

Abott is believed to have been journalist Alexander Delmar.

A bit browned as usual; a small lower corner missing; else clean throughout.  A sought-after artifact that has become rare.
