Enrique Campos Menendez published his Lincoln biography in Spanish in South America in 1945.

Menendez’s work is part of a large body of Lincoln material published around the world during the period of World War II. Much of that was distributed by the United States to influence public opinion in other countries. This Lincoln, however, appears to be an original work of history by a native Chilean writing for an Argentine press.
