Description

Thwaites and Kellogg’s Documentary History of Dunmore’s War is a valuable and scarce collection of accounts of the conflict between the Colony of Virginia and a collection of allied native tribes just prior to the Revolution.

The “Documentary History” was compiled from the Draper Manuscripts in the Library of the Wisconsin Historical Society when Thwaites was the Secretary of the Society and Kellogg the Editorial Assistant on the Society’s Staff. Publications of the Wisconsin Historical Society are some of the most important in the study of the Northwest Territory and western expansion, and Thwiates was the guiding spirit of those studies for a generation.

Usual toning; lightly scuffed; owners’ inscriptions on half-title page; light wear of the extremities and slightly darkened spine; else very good. Scarce.
