Offering a John McClarey Lincoln bust.
Many knew John through his Abraham Lincoln sculptures and other works of art sprinkled throughout numerous communities in Illinois and indeed, throughout the world.
All of McClarey’s statues are conceived around a beguiling combination of realistic details (buttons, boots, neckties, and hats) and subtler implications. McClarey always depicted a very human Lincoln.
This bust features a plaque reading, “Beyond Illinois: The wind at his back.” Produced for the Illinois State Bicentennial of 2018.
