A Pass to view Lincoln’s Body.
These passes were issued to dignitaries, members of Congress, and leading figures of the day. The passes for the Green Room being the scarcest. The remains of the President lay in the Green Room in a metallic coffin that rested upon a canopied catafalque. Bishop Simpson of the Methodist Episcopal Church led the prayer, with the crowd joining him at the end in the Lord’s Prayer.
Pin holes in corners from prior mounting; else very good.
